Project description:

The Samina power station is a pumped storage power station and one among several hydroelectric power stations of Liechtensteinische Kraftwerke AG with headquarters in Schaan, Liechtenstein. The powerhouse itself is located in Vaduz.

The Samina power station utilises the 835-metre difference in elevation between the Samina Valley and the Vaduz underground reservoir.

Scope of work:

  • Engineering, delivery and assembly of the steel pressure pipeline including distribution pipe (Y-pipe) and high-pressure pump
  • 1 x expansion, executed as access pipe
  • 3 x expansion
  • 4 x manhole
  • 1 x insulation joint DN 900, 3.05 m long

  • Steel pressure pipeline, 958 m buried and 178 m penstock
  • 24 m vertical armouring
