Administrative Board

The Administrative Board of Kelag Systems AG is composed of four industrial private investors: Dieter Widmer (Delegate to the Administrative Board), Hans Gattlen (President), Harry Houthuijse and René J. Bär. They can look back on many years of collaboration on a basis of trust and shared values. The Board has an international focus and embraces a variety of languages and cultures.

The members of the Administrative Board contribute their own expertise and experience to the company and its development, as entrepreneurs with a strong commitment to securing the sustainability and continuous consolidation of Kelag Systems AG.

In addition, the owners of Kelag Systems AG also hold investments in EquityNova AG in Zug, Switzerland. EquityNova has been active in the private equity sector since 1974, and is pursuing a new entrepreneurial equity approach. In contrast to conventional private equity models, the focus is on entrepreneurial and transparency aspects, and pronounced value awareness on the part of investors.

Dieter Widmer

Delegate to the Administrative Board

Born in 1963, Swiss national, chartered accountant and trustee, holder of a Swiss Federal Certificate.

An entrepreneur since 2010, Dieter Widmer has sat on the administrative boards of a variety of companies, and is the owner of valeth, a business consultancy firm. He specialises in corporate governance and accountancy and has worked in management and leadership functions for many years.

As an independent administrative board member, he is active in various companies, e.g. Orell Füssli, Swiss Red Cross, Blattmann Switzerland, Mühle Walther, and Eicher+Pauli. From 1986 to 2010, he worked as an auditor and consultant for listed companies, as well as for small and medium-sized companies in the manufacturing, trade and service sectors. As a manager at KPMG Switzerland, he was a member of the Management Board, head of the Advisory section (consultancy services) and head of the Bern office. In addition, he was a member of the non-executive Board and of the Audit Committee of KPMG Europe LLP (Frankfurt/London).

Hans Gattlen

Hans Gattlen

President of the Administrative Board

Born in 1964, Swiss national.

Hans Gattlen holds a bilingual law degree from the University of Freiburg (Switzerland); he acquired a lawyer’s license in Zurich and an MBA from IMD Lausanne. He has worked for international industrial groups (Rieter, Franke) for 10 years, in the legal, M&A and restructuring areas, and as a divisional head.

Today, he is a self-employed entrepreneur with participating interests in several companies in the strategic, and in certain cases also operative, field. For instance, for over 10 years he has been the co-owner and Administrative Board President of Egro Industrial Systems AG, a company specialising in high-quality thin-sheet metal processing with headquarters in Niederrohrdorf, Aargau.

Harry Houthuijse

Harry Houthuijse

Member of the Administrative Board

Born in 1961, Swiss national with Dutch roots.

Harry Houthuijse studied at the Zurich School of Applied Psychology and holds a degree in Work and Organisational Psychology from ETH, Zurich. He was head of the PEAT Executive Search management consulting firm for over 12 years, and later of the Corporate Human Resources Europe & Global Talent Management of the Schindler elevator manufacturing company in Ebikon. Parallel to this, he sat on the Green Cross Board of Trustees for several years.

Since 2006, his Zurich-based company CORNFELD has focused on assisting large manufacturing and technology companies with regard to international direct head-hunting, and the selection and recruitment of managerial staff.

In 2014 he also launched LeadersGate, an innovative succession pool that connects leading companies and selected talents on a sustainable long-term basis.

René J. Bär

René J. Bär

Born in 1958, Swiss national.

René J. Bär acquired an MBA degree from IMD in Lausanne. He worked in various countries of Europe and the Middle East for 16 years, with a focus on the establishment of companies mainly operating in the financial sector.

Since 2004, he has, as an entrepreneur, held participating interests in several small and medium-sized businesses and has assisted them in their strategic orientation. For instance, for over 10 years, he has been the co-owner and Administrative Board member of Egro Industrial Systems AG, a company specialising in high-quality thin-sheet metal processing with headquarters in Niederrohrdorf, Aargau. .
